I am reaching out for your assistance. DeVry University has been hosting an event called Her World at locations throughout the country over the past few years. This year we are attempting to have our first Her world event in the Inland Empire.
Her World invites young high school women to learn about careers in the field of technology and science. These are fields where women are sought after and women are much less likely to declare those as their major.
This workshop will provide these young women with inspiring speeches from successful women, peak their interests into these fields , and get them excited about college. We know these events will change the way girls see their future opportunities and hope this will encourage them to think outside the norm.
If you are far from Southern CA, maybe you can help me create a worksheet on historic women for the girls to take with them.
